What does the FIRE/OVHT TEST switch do?
Push and Hold
Sends Fire/Overheat test signals to engine, APU, wheel well, cargo, and bleed duct leak systems.

What makes DEPRESS or DISCH illuminate on the cargo fire panel?
When you press the cargo fire arm switches
What happens with the Cargo Fire Depress/Disch switch is pushed?
Main Armed: initiates airplane depressurization
FWD or AFT armed: discarges extinguishers to provide 210 minutes of effective agent concentration to FWD or AFT lower lobe
What happens when the MAIN, FWD, or AFT fire arm switches are pushed?
Main: Enables maindeck suppression, turns off two packs, configures equipment cooling to closed loop, turns off airflow and heat to main deck and all lower lobes. Closes master trim air valve.
FWD or AFT: Turns off two packs, arms lower lobe fire extinguishers, configures equipment cooling to smoke override, turns off airflow and heat to lower lobes only. Closes master trim air valve.
When do the Main, FWD, or AFT fire warning lights illuminate?
Fire in related cargo compartment.

What does APU BTL DISCH light mean?
Bottle has discharged or has low pressure
What happens when the APU fire switch is pulled out? What happens when the switch is rotated?
Arms APU fire extinguisher. Closes APU fuel valve Closes APU bleed air valve Closes air inlet door Trips APU generator field and breaker Shuts down APU (if automatic shutdown did not occur)
Rotate: Discharges extinguisher into APU compartment
When does the APU fire switch unlock?
APU Fire Warning
Override switch pushed
When does the APU fire switch illuminate red?
APU fire is detected or Fire/Overheat test switch is pushed.
*APU automatically shuts down for a detected fire.
APU Fire Extinguisher discharges automatically on ground for detected fire.
What does pulling the engine fire switch out do? What happens when it is rotated?
Closes engine and spar fuel valves Closes engine bleed air valve Trips off engine generator Shuts off hydraulic fluid to EDP Depressurizes hydraulic EDP Arms both related fire extinguishers
Rotate: discharges selected fire extinguisher into engine nacelle
When is an engine fire switch unlocked?
Fire Warning
Fuel control switch in cutoff
Override Switch pushed
When does an engine fire switch illuminate red?
An engine fire is detected
Fire/Overheat test switch is pushed
What does the BTL A DISCHARGE light mean?
The wing bottle has been discharged or has low pressure
