2. Bone tenderness at the posterior distal border of the tibia.
3. Inability to walk 4 steps (fully weight bearing) BOTH after the injury and in the ED.

A foot x-ray is required if there is pain in the midfoot zone AND EITHER:

• Bone tenderness at the base of the fifth metatarsal
• Bone tenderness over the navicular bone.
• Inability to weight bear both immediately after the injury and in the ED.
