A
over 18yrs

indication of Otrivine
A
Sx relief of nasal congestion and rhinorrhoea in common colds/sinusitis
** NOT for hay fever

dose of Otrivine
A
1 spray in each nostril up to max of TDS
At least 6hrs between doses
Max 7 days Tx (rebound congestion) -> stop sooner if improvement

c/i
A
- hypersensitivity to ingredients
- after nasal surgery
- glaucoma
- PREGNANCY
- BREASTFEEDING

cautions for Otrivine
A
- hypertension
- long QT syndrome (inc risk arrhythmias)
- hyperthyroidism
- diabetes
- hypertrophy of prostate
- stenosis of the bladder bar
- cystic fibrosis
- MAOI Tx or if had them in last 2 weeks
- TCAs or if had them in last 2 weeks
- beta 2 agonist
- angle closure glaucoma

- Dizziness
- Visual disturbances
- Fatigue
- Epistaxis
- Nasal dryness
