Recurrence w/in 30 days
Can’t use 1st line anymore
What are the complications of Chronic Otitis media?
TM perforation Chronic Otorrhea Chronic Otomastoiditis Cholesteatoma Hearing loss
What is a Cholesteatoma?
Change in tissue type of TM that degrades like a cancer
Chronic drainage of the ear over a long period. Smells bad

Mastoiditis
Petrositis
Labrinthitis
Facial n Paralysis
What are the signs that otitis media is no longer simply a difficult ear infection?
