What signal do we associate with ‘communication’?
A test timer. Test timers indicate that the customer’s panel is communicating with our system properly..
What is the difference between NoTT and TTwT?
Both are communication problems. NoTT means no test timer came in at the scheduled time, indicating no communication. TTwT means a trouble signal came in at the exact same time as the test timer, indicating trouble with the communication.
What do we do for a NoTT?
We check if a Test timer has come in since receiving the NoTT. If so, it’s been restored and we can FC.
Otherwise, we’ll NOTIFY the customer and REFER to the main office.
What action do we take for Test Timer Trouble signals?
You will do operator action TTwT. This will FC the account and send an email to the dealer. No calls are made.

When a signal comes in excessively during a short period of time.
What is our procedure for Runaway signals? (HINT: NORF)
Notify, Offer a test, Refer to the main office, FC
