Other Limitations Flashcards
Cargo Ramp
Cargo ramp must be fully closed during all flight operations
Flight Director Limits
To ensure engine limits not exceeded during turbulence, maneuvers, or failure modes…maintain straight and level flight, TQ 65% or less, N1 95% or less, PTIT 700C or less
Do not exceed 20 bank angle with altitude hold engaged
Disable altitude hold in moderate to severe turbulence
AFCS Limits
Max airspeed…single PITCH channel 100 knots, single ROLL or YAW 120 knots
With both channels of pitch, roll, or yaw axis disabled/malfunctioned, max airspeed…100 knots
Max bank angle…single AFCS failure 23.5, both fail 20
Max rate of climb…500fpm
Max rate of descent…1000fpm
Do not engage coupled modes with any axis of either AFCs disabled/malfunctioning

Max…105.3%
Transient…82%
Rotor Limits
100% RRPM = 226 RRPM
LCT Limits
Refer to Fig 1-8 in RFM
Pitot and Yaw Port Heat
Must be on at 3*C or colder
Running Landing Aft Gear Only
Swivels locked…60 knots
Swivels unlocked…20 knots

Rotor Brake Actuation
Apply brake below 40% RRPM with light to moderate pressure. Set brake handle fully forward after rotors have come to a complete stop if rotors are to be locked. Rotor brake applications below 35% should not be rapid.
Rotor Brake Application - Alternate Procedure
May be used if ground bounce (padding) is experienced.
ECLs... STOP ROTOR BRAKE lever... ARM APPLY... brake at 70% RRPM RELEASE... at 60% RRPM RRPM at 25%... apply brake again until rotors stop.
following use of rotor brake, a minimum interval of 15 minutes must be allowed before subsequent application
