• squawk 7600.
• keep trying to transmit or monitor last frequency, other ATC frequencies, VOR, FSS
• in order: fly your assigned route, then direct (if being vectored), then any ‘expect’ routing, then your flight plan
• altitude: highest of (1) last level assigned, (2) minimum IFR altitude (MEA), (3) any ‘expected’ ATC altitude
• if you encounter VMC conditions, stay in them. Land when practicable and notify ATC
• when you reach the end of your clearance, hold until your EFC or ETE time, then proceed to execute your approach
