Drug Treatment for Nicotine Addiction
-Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)
-Varenicline
-Bupropion
These drugs can be offered alongside behavioural support.
Most effective treatment option is varenicline, or a combination of long-acting NRT (transdermal patch) and short-acting NRT (lozenges, gum, sublingual tablets, inhaler, nasal spray and oral spray).
-If inappropriate, offer bupropion or a single therapy NRT instead.
How long are nicotine transdermal patches usually applied for?

What are milia?
Also known as milk spots, they are small, white cysts on your skin. Most commonly seen on the face- harmless.
What is molluscum contagiosum?
Harmless infection that causes small dimpled spots to appear on the skin- raised and dome-shaped with a shiny white dimple in the middle.
It is contagious, and most commonly seen in children.
What is the age restriction on the supply of Allevia (fexofenadine) OTC?

What are the symptoms of blepharitis?
Skin flakes around the eyelashes
Watery eyes
Paracetamol (120mg/5ml) Dosing (all every 4 hours)
2-3 months (if over 4kg): 2.5 ml
3-6 months: 2.5ml
6-24 months: 5ml
2-4 years: 7.5ml
4-8 years: 10ml
8-10 years: 15ml
10-12 years: 20ml
Pyrexia following immunisation at 2/3/4 months: 2.5ml , no more than 4 doses in 24h.
