Acetaminophen

A

Tylenol
Pain and fever
Can cause acute liver failure
Acts in the CNS and turns pain off and inhibits heat-regulating center to reduce temp
Well tolerated, make sure dose is calculated and correct
Dosing: 10-15mg/kg per dose, not to exceed 5 doses per day

A

Mild to moderate pain, inflammation management
Increased cardiovascular clot risks and GI bleeding
ADR: cardio, GI, Heme (longer bleeding). kindey nephritis
