Benefit of group therapy
Sharing the lived experience and recovery through rehabilitation with others.
Documenting of group interventions should include:
1) How prescribed therapy services contribute to anticipated progression toward goals;
2) Why the group is most appropriate mode for this person;
3) How group therapy is medically necessary/appropriate to needs of each beneficiary.
Concurrent Interventions
Must be SKILLED and MEDICALLY NECESSARY. May only be a portion of an intervention session, adjunct to individual interventions. Note: Medicare Part B does NOT recognize concurrent interventions.
