What is a partially permeable membrane ?
A
A partially permeable membrane is just one with very small holes in it. Only tiny molecules like water can pass through them the bigger molecules like sucrose cannot

Which way can water molecules travel through the membrane during osmosis ?
A
The water molecules can travel both ways through the membrane during osmosis. This happens because water molecules move about randomly all the time
