Where are stem cells found ?
Stem cells are usually found in early human embryos
They are also found in adults in their home marrow
What can stem cells do for us ?
They can cure many diseases
For example, stem cells transferred from the bone marrow of a healthy person can replace faulty cells in sick people
(You can make insulin producing cells for people with diabetes, nerve cells for people paralysed by spinal injuries and etc)
Why are some people against stem cell research ?
Some people are against stem cell research because they feel that human embryos shouldn’t be used for experiments since each one is a potential life
What can stem cells produce ?
Stem cells can produce identical plants
They can also be used to grow more plants of rare species
