what nerves are damaged?
What muscles are affected?

A

Most common brachial plexus injury
C5,C6 right where they meet, 2-3cm above clavicle
Sx: upper limb drops beside trunk, internally rotated with flexed wrist
(Erb the waiter)
Muscles effected: biceps, brachialis, coracobrachialis (along musculocuteanous nerve)

A

Paralysis of muscles of the hand and weakness of the wrist and fingers’ flexors
injury of C7,8,T1.
Associated Horner Syndrome
From forceful abduction of shoulders

Flexor retinaculum is affecting the median nerve

Tx: cock up spint, NSAIDs.

A

NSAIDs. Antiobiotics if infectious. Warm compresses during first 24-48 hours.

Osgood-Schlatter disease
