Lies between stomach and small intestine. Has both exocrine and endocrine functions therefore double gland

Wider than rest of large intestine

Runs anterior from cecum across abdominal cavity, then posterior terminating in the 3rd region of the large intestine (rectum)
Rectum
3rd region of large intestine, opens at anus
Anus
Where fecal material is eliminated

The mesentery of the large intestine
