Muscular tissue - contracts to bring about movement
Glandular tissue - produces substances such as enzymes and hormones
Epithelial tissues - covers some parts of the body
What tissues does the stomach contain
Muscular tissue - churns the contents
Glandular tissue - produces digestive juices
Epithelial tissues - covers the outside and the inside of the stomach
The digestive system exchanges substances with the environment but what organs does it include
Glands(pancreas and salivary glands) produce digestive juices
Stomach and small intestine - where digestion occurs
Liver - produces bile
Small intestine - absorption of soluble food occurs
Large intestine - water is absorbed from indigested food producing faeces
