A
Thiamine deficiency -> chronic alcohol abuse -> gastric carcinoma -> severe malnutrition Haemorrhagic lesions in the brain Focal brain damage -> hippocampus -> vascular lesions -> CO poisoning -> encephalitis -> MS

A
Personality effected rather than cognitions Sluggish, unfinished tasks Euphoric and over familiar Tactless Sexual disinhibition Poor judgment Restless and hyperactive

Serotonin syndrome
A
Neuromuscular abnormalities-> hyperreflexia, tremor, ataxia, myoclonus Altered conciousnes level Autonomic dysfunction -> agitation, sweating, fever, shivering 1% of SSRI's Resolves in 24-36h Possible recurrence in 1w After 1-2 doses -> cyproheptadine (5HT-2a antagonist)
