What is a tissue?
A tissue is made up of a group of the same type of cells doing the same job. Tissues work together to make up organs.
Name 3 examples of tissue in our body
Can say either 3 of these :
Muscle , Lining the Intestines , Fat , Lining of the Lungs , Phloem , Xylem , Root hair tissue.
What is muscle?
Muscle brings out movement to the body.
What is fat?
Fat stores energy and to insulate.
What is lining of the intestines?
Lining of the intestines absorb nutrients / water and/or secrete mucus.
What is lining of the lungs?
Lining of the lungs assists in the transfer of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
What is phloem?
Phloem transports food from leaves to the rest of the plant.
What is xylem?
Xylem transports water and solutes from the roots to leaves.
What is a root hair tissue?
A root hair tissue absorbs water from soil by osmosis.
What does the stomach do?
It breaks down and digests food in order to extract necessary nutrients from what you eat.
What does the small intestine do?
It carries food.
What does the large intestine do?
It absorbs water.
What does the liver do?
It filters blood.
What does the brain do?
It controls all our activities and it has many different parts that work together : Frontal , Parietal , Temporal , and Occipital.
