➊ Infection around eyeball, involving tissues behind orbital septum
➋ Pain on movement, restricted eye movements, visual changes, abnormal pupil reactions, and proptosis (forward movement of the eyeball)
➌ CT
➍ Medical emergency requiring admission and IV Abx

What occurs here?
How can it progress?
→ In who is this more likely to occur?
A
➊ Infection of eyelid and skin in front of orbital septum
➋ Can spread to optic septum and cause Orbital cellulitis
→ Children as they have a less developed septum
