causes - none, infections, immune deficiency, trauma, vitamin deficiency
tx - corsdyl, genigel topical gel
orofacial granulomatosis
inflammatory disorder, associated/predictor with crohns
lip swelling, gingival swelling, erythema, cobblestone appearance, ulceratipn, angular cheilitis
tx - OH support, relief, steroids
geographic tongue
mucosal lesion, idiopathic
shiny red areas of tongue with loss of filiform papillae, white margins
discomfort with spicy, tomato, citrus
types of solid swellings
fibroepithelial polyp = firm pink, minor trauma, exision
epulides = swelling of mucosa, benign lesions
congential epulis - rare, neonates, benign, exision
HPV = warts, cauliflower like
types of fluid swellings
mucocele - cysts, rupture itself
ranula - floor of mouth, salivary gland/duct
Bohn’s nodules = gingival cysts, neonates
Epstein peals = cystic, palatal midliine, disappear
TMJ dysfunction syndrome
limited jaw opening, pain, masticatory muscle spasms
dental wear, signs of clenching, linea alba
