In one survey 92% of consumers said that they trusted social media more than any other form of advertising. In addition, some 85% of travellers use their smartphones abroad, and over half of Facebook users said that their vacation choice was influenced by friend’s holiday photos.

For muslim women there are additional challenges, as they cannot participate in mixed gender sports, and the environment in which they play and sport dress also needs to be considered.

By showcasing athletes with a wide range of disabilities, the Games help to break down barriers and promote understanding of the challenges faced by ppl with disabilities. Para athletes are often seen as role models and sources of inspiration for young people, especially those with disabilities.
