Mx of glaucoma
Lie flat, face up.
pilocarpine eye drops (2% blue, 4%brown)
Acetozalamide (IV if vomiting)
topical beta blockers
Urgent opthalmology referral
normal occular pressure
10-21mmHg
Indication for lateral canthotomy
Blunt eye trauma with suspicion of retro-orbital haematoma
AND any of the following:
-reduced visual acuity
-Proptosis
-Relavant afferent pupillary defect
-Intraoccular pressure >40
OR CT findings of intraorbital compartment syndrome
-retrobulbar haematoma w/ proptosis
-tenting of orbit
stretched orbital nerve
-
Ant. uveitis S&S
Painful red eye, worse with accommodation.
Irregular pupil
keratic precipitates (little dots on inner surface of the cornea)
