The must adhere to respiratory and personal protective clothes requirements to protective against exposure…It is strongly recommended that they all wear SCBA or respiratory masks. The min. recommendation is using P100/VOC combination filter half mask, and should also include monitoring for CO, HCN, O2, VOC’s and formaldehyde.

They should undergo the same Gross Decon process as perviously noted, including changing out of coveralls or exterior exposed clothing.

They’ll also shower within the hour, at home or (preferably) at the fire station closest to the scene.
