Set up
A
Sit in front of the patient
About 1 meter away

You should cover the same or opposite eye as the patient?
A
The opposite eye (i.e. they cover their left, you cover your right)

Procedure
A
Patient and you cover one eye each
Get patient to focus on your face
Hold out fingers in different planes and ask how many you are holding up (1 or 2)
Then bring in from different corners and ask the patient to tell you when they can see them
Then assess blind spot
