Situation clinique CITE 2025
A 33-year-old female presents to the emergency department with a chief complaint of blurry vision. She reports acute worsening of vision in her right eye over the last 3-4 days, associated with painful movement of right eye, although there is no eye pain at rest. She reports no preceding history of trauma, foreign bodies, or systemic symptoms. She has no past medical history and takes no medication. Her best-corrected visual acuity is 20/70 in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye. She has a relative afferent pupillary defect (RAPD) in the right eye with a positive red desaturation
test. Anterior and posterior segment examinations are unremarkable in both eyes. Fundoscopy exam of the right eye is done. The image can be found in the VISUAL STIM. Fundoscopy of her left eye is within normal limits. The remainder of her examination, including a thorough neurologic examination, is unremarkable.
