1) Information’s ACCURACY by checking whether it’s from a trustworthy source, comparing it against other trustworthy sources, seeing if it uses evidence to support its claims otherwise it’s false/ incomplete
2) Information’s AGE by checking the publication date otherwise it may be too old and no longer true or too recent if you are looking for more recent information
3) Information’s RELEVANCE
4) Information’s RELIABILITY by comparing it with other unrelated sources to see if it matches
5) Information’s BIAS by seeing if it provides a range of viewpoints, questioning the source of statistics otherwise it may be prejudiced/ focused on one side of the issue without considering the others
