Theme - Dreams

A

OMAM in essence is a story about the nature of human dreams and the forces against them. It shows how without dreams life is an endless drivel with no true meaning or connection.

Q

Theme - Loneliness

A

Loneliness is a very prevalent theme throughout the novella. Curley’s Wife is lonely because her husband forces her to not socialise. Crooks is isolated from others because of his race. The ranch workers regularly go into the town to ease their loneliness and Lennie is often found confiding in Crooks.
