OM4A (FCOM) PRO-NOR-JSS -23DEC22 Flashcards
Stable Approach Criteria
(5 things by 1000’)
(2 things by 500’)
By 1000 ft HAA:
1. Established on the correct lateral and vertical flight path, with only small changes to required
bank angle and pitch needed to maintain the path;
2. Configured with the planned landing flap extended and gear down;
3. Sink rate not greater than 1000 fpm;
4. Thrust setting appropriate to achieve and/or maintain the approach speed;
5. All briefings completed.
In addition, by 500 ft HAA:
1. Airspeed not more than speed target +10 kt and not less than speed target –5 kt;
2. Landing Checklist completed.
The landing checklist is to be completed when the aircraft is in the landing configuration. Normally this should occur prior to 1000 ft, however if standard approach calls or radio calls dictate otherwise the landing checklist may be delayed and completed as soon as practicable after passing 1000 ft, though no later than 500 ft HAA.
Note: Ground spoilers must be armed prior to the completion of the landing checklist.
