i. Make reasonable attempts to avoid discharge into crows or other law enforcement officers or in closed environments.
How To Use the Aerosol

a. Physiological effects of OC are ____ and may vary form person to person.

Should be carried in its approved holster and secured on the officer’s belt. The agency requirements or personal preference will determine the position of carry. Should be carried in the upright position.
Some agencies advocate the weapon side carry position, in front of or to the rear of the firearm, while others advocate a non-gun side carry position.
One concern with the weapon side carry position is the ability to quickly draw the OC without interference from the officer’s firearm.
