- macroglossia: acromegaly, hypothyroidisim
- large tonsils
- marfans

*Partner complains of excessive snoring and may report periods of apnoea

What are the consequences of sleep apnoea?
A
- Daytime somnolence
- Compensated resp acidosis
- HTN

What are the diagnostic investigations for sleep apnoea?
A
*Sleep studies
>monitor pulse oximetry at night ect.

What is the management of sleep apnoea?
A
- Weight loss
- CPAP
- Intra-oral devices if CPAP not tolerated
- DVLA informed if it is causing excessive daytime sleepiness
