OBSERVATION AS A PRIMARY RESEARCH METHOD Flashcards

1
Q

What does OBSERVATION (as a primary research method) involve?

A

Observation involves watching and recording what is observed. The researcher determines precisely what is needed and prepares sheets for recording before beginning the observation. The researcher then systematically records the relevant data, being careful not to interpret what is seen during the observation as this will bias the results, if objectivity is achieved the researcher will ensure that the analysis of results is reliable and informative.
