what are some indications of a bad breast feed
pain is 1st indicator , lips rolled in, clicking or smacking sound, bitting sensation, nipple injury, poor infant weight gain
once feeding is started how long is the formula good for
only 1 hour b/c infant salivation
how do you give a newborn a bath when umbilical is still attached
sponge bath
when do you give the newborn their first bath after birth

what is the order for bathing an infant
face first with no soap work your way down to the bottom, wrap them like a football in a warm towel then wash head last
how do you assess airway after birth
listen for spontaneous cry
what is some tactile stimulation for airway
flicking the feet, rubbing the babys back when drying them off
when is the umbilical clamp removed
24-48hours if cold at the base
how long does it take for the rest of the umbilical cord to fall off
