Which patients are candidates for MTX for ectopic pregnancy? What are contraindications?

Answer 1

hCG <5000, no fetal cardiac activity, ectopic mass size < 3-4 cm, and HDS and reliable for follow up.
Contraindications: concominant intrauterine pregnancy, Cr >1.5 or elevated LFTs (toxic to kidneys and liver)
