How are locking loops withdrawn once the ripcord pins are pulled?
By the pilot parachute spring.

A tacking that holds the canopy thong through the side flap closing cord
How can you find the service life of parachute components?
By referring to TO14D3-11-1 and the IPB
How much weight should you be able to apply to the pilot parachute spring before it compresses fully?
17 lbs.
Why do you inspect the puckered vent on the canopy?
For elasticity and the ability to return to its original shape after stretching/expanding.
What is the preferred method of inspecting the connector links?
By carefully moving the suspension lines to each side rather than removing them.
What inspection requirements must the PCU-4/P meet?
The cable loops must pop out freely and must activate between 6-19 lbs pull force.
How should you route the diagonal back strap in relation to the dual housing clamp?
The strap is routed under the clamp.
What are the 3 steps you must do before packing the BA?
Install accessories, prepare the pack, and complete a line continuity check.
How is the canopy folded?
Left over right and folded canopy must not exceed width of the quarter deployment bag.
What is the size and purpose of the locking stow in the quarter deployment bag?
So 1-1 1/4 in extend beyond the canopy loops and hold the quarter deployment bag closesd.
Where do you position the quarter deployment bag in the pack?
Into the lower third of the open pack.
What component do you thread with the needle and what component do you route the thread through when safety tying the canopy thong?
Pierce the canopy thong edge and route the needle through the side flap closing cord loop.
Which side flap do you stow the pilot parachute bridal line?
Right.

Replace canopy sections, reinforcement tapes, lateral bands, suspension lines, harness sling straps, and the packs side and end flaps.
