which drugs should you administer if you encounter refractory/recurrent VF/pulseless VT
IV adrenaline 1mg Q3-5mins, IV amiodarone 300mg, to give 150mg for repeated dose OR IV lignocaine 1-1.5mg/kg.
how to dilute IV adrenaline to make it 1:10000?
1ml Adrenaline, + 9mls IV N/saline 0.9%
how much amiodarone should you give for the 1st dose?
300mg
how much amiodarone should you give for the repeated dose?
150mg
how much lignocaine should be given for resus?
1-1.5mg/kg
what to do when patient ROSC- return of spontaneous circulation
- provide post cardiac arrest care
- check v/s, provide airwar care
-give meds to support BP and HR - do investigations, CXR, ECG, bloods etc.
stabilise and transfer to CCU/ICU
