A

-didn’t think men should be nurses
-didn’t believe in germs

What was the Weir Report?

A

-1932
-report on nursing education
-thought students were being exploited
-students weren’t being taught, they just had to work everyday
-the CNA, in response, published a proposed nursing curriculum for the schools and found only 16% of the schools could be accredited
-slow education reform
-BN was originally a 1 year course to work in admin not in hospital
-thought that it was the selection of students that was the problem, not the 12 hour work days everyday
