Examples of wheezing
bronchospasm, airway edema, obstruction from foreign body
Treatment of wheezes
bronchodilator- (wheezing may increase with improved air flow)
Unilateral wheezing may indicate what?
Foreign body aspiration
A high pitched inspiratory sound caused by upper airway obstruction
Stridor
Heavy snoring or gasping that is caused by partial obstruction of airway
Stertor
