Cushing Syndrome: What is it
Too much cortisol in the system, causing swelling, a buffalo hump, facial flushing, obesity, and even osteoporosis.
Cushing Syndrome: What causes it
Can come from either a tumor on the pituitary gland or an overuse of medical steroids.
Addisons Disease: What is it
A lack of cortisol due to one’s immune system attacking the adrenal gland; causing a lack of control, weight loss, skin darkening, and messing up blood pressure and salt/water ratio.
Graves Disease: What is it
It’s a disease where a faulty immune system creates antibodies that mistakenly attack the thyroid, causing an overproduction of t3 and t4 (hyperthyroidism)weight loss, over heating, goiter, fast heart rate, anxiety, frequent bowel movements, tremors. It can also attack behind the eyes or the skin.
What is TSH
Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone: Produced by the hypothalamus, to be sent to the Thyroid to stimulate the production of t3 and t4.
