At what time is a retained placenta diagnosed?
If not delivered within 30 mins
What are the classic signs of placental separation?
Gush of blood, lengthening of umbilical cord, funds of uterus rises up, change in shape of uterine funds from discoid–> globular
What are the 2 cervical ripening drugs and when are they contraindicated?
Cervadil vaginal insert (Dinoprostone- can pull out if needed) and Cytotec (misoprostol)
Contraindicated in patients with previous C section
What is uterine tachysystole?
> 5 contractions in a 10 minute period
What is a favorable and unfavorable Bishop score for labor induction?
Score 8 is favorable
