250 kts / 200 kts
What are the rules for Class B?
Requires ATC clearance to enter, two way radio contact maintained, requires Mode C transponder with ADS-B out, private pilots license required
When can a student pilot fly through class B?
Only with an endorsement from an instructor within 90 days
What are the minimum VFR rules for Class B?
3 sm visibility, stay clear of clouds
What is required within 30 miles of the operating class B airport?
Mode C transponder with ADS-B capability
Where is Class C?
Surrounding airports handling a moderate amount of traffic
What are the rules for Class C?
Establish communication with ATC before entering, minimum of student pilot, no clearance needed just establishment of entering, mode C and ADS-B out transponder required within and above Class C
What are the VFR rules for Class C?
Minimum 3 sm visibility, 500’ below / 1000’ above / 2000’ horizontal clearance from clouds
What is the speed limit for Class C and D?
200 knots within 4 nm and below 2500’ AGL of primary airport
Where is Class D?
Tower controlled airports not class B or class C
