What are VFR sectional charts?
Maps/Charts designed for visual navigation and named for a major city
What are TAC charts?
Terminal Area Charts, designed for navigation around congested terminal areas
What is the VFR flyway planning chart?
Identifies flight paths clear of major traffic flows in busy airspace
What are VFR waypoints and how are they depicted in charts?
Obvious visual waypoints identified by five letter waypoints starting in VP and a red flag
What is the chart supplement? How often is it updated?
It’s a supplement to the chart that includes the airport facility directory, navigation data, and airport chart diagrams / Every 56 days
What is a NOTAM?
Notice to Air Missions, they contain time sensitive information to the flight
What is a Domestic NOTAM (D)? What are the four categories?
NOTAMs for domestic airspace only / Ramps, Runways, Navaid, Airspace
What is an FDC NOTAM?
Deal with regulatory and procedural changes for changes to approaches, navigational charts, or temporary flight restrictions
