  • NSAID- more COX-2 specific
  • used for OA, RA, JRA
  • BBW- CV and GI risk
  • Containdication- hypersensitivity
  • side effects and cautions- CV, HTN, GI, renal, some elevation hepatic enzymes in some patients, asthma, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain

duloxetine hydrochloride (cymbaltal, Irenka)

A
  • SNRI
  • indications- chronic msk pain, diabetic neuropathy pain, fibromyalgia, GAD, MDD
    BBW- suicidal thoughts and behaviors
    MOA- inhibits reuptake of serotonin and nEPI
    Contraindications- use of MAOIs within 14 days, use with linezolid or IV methylene blue
    Side effects- drowsiness, headache, dizziness, diarrhea, xerostomia
