Q

What do authors feel is the main deficit in dyslexia?

A

The function of the cerebellum is to automatize and proceduralize both cognitive and motor tasks. In dyslexia, authors believe the cerebellum is impaired in this because dyslexics are unable to automatize cognitive skills such as rhyming and balance, but also reading, writing and spelling. They also found classic symptoms of cerebellar impairment in dyslexics.
