What did thy grow out of?
Functionalism

It is centrally controlled as a “one size fits all”
What does it mean by “one size fits all”?

What do they suggest that there is a need of?
An “education market”
What is the education market?
It should create competition between schools to give the best quality education to the students

Greater choice and efficiency
What 2 functions does the education system have?
