Went to a school in California and took at random sample of children with varying I.Q’s. Around 20% of the students were chose at random and they were expected to do better than their other classmates

Cicourel and Kituse
Working class students were put on vocational courses in comparison to middle class students who were guided to more academic courses in preparation for university

In USA they discovered that if a working class and middle class student had the same ability, they would still be put on different courses
