disadvantages of JIT manufacturing (4 points)
- lost economies of scale
- lack of stock if error or delay
- increased transport cost due to more frequent deliveries
- little room for mistake
what is continuous improvement?
manufacturers constantly looking for small ways to improve efficiency, adding up to efficient systems
