New Agent Scripts Flashcards
ETHOR (close relationship)
Hey (Friend), How are ya?
Hey what do you have going on Monday night?
(Friend), I was wondering if you would help me out. I’m going into business with some friends of mine, and I’d like to get some feedback from people I know and respect. You’ll help me out, won’t you?
At this point I’d like to stop by with my business partner and share with you what we are doing to help families and have you ask a lot of questions. Fair enough?
Would Monday or Wednesday be better?
6 or 8?
ETHOR (good acquaintance)
Hi ______, this is (your name). How are you?
I know we don’t talk often outside of (?), but I really could use your help. You’ll help me if you can, won’t you?
I was recently accepted as an associate with Managed Wealth Financial. I’m excited about what we do to help families, and while I study for my license with the state, I need to get some exposure. I respect your opinion and at this point I’d like to stop by with my trainer sometime in the next week, share with you what we do, and if you see the value in it you can at the very least point me in the direction of people who can benefit from the education. Fair enough?
Great. Would Monday or Wednesday work better? 6 or 8?
General Workshop Script (close relationship)

What are you doing Tuesday night?
I need your help. You’ll help me out if you can, won’t you?
I’d like to get your opinion about a decision I’m making. I’m possibly making a career change. Are you free on Tuesday about 7 o’clock?
Great. The company I’m working with will be presenting an overview. I’d like you to attend so you can see the specifics of the company and help me evaluate my decision.
I’ll pick you up about 6:30. You’ll want to wear a shirt and tie.
I really appreciate your help and I look forward to seeing ya.
Thanks again. Bye.
Direct Workshop Script
Hey (name), how are ya?
What are you doing Tuesday night?
Great! Listen, I’ve started with a new company. I’m really excited about what we are doing to impact families. I don’t know if you’d be a good fit or not, but I figure you could at least send me some referrals down the road. I really think it’s something you oughta take a look at yourself. I don’t know whether it’d be for ya or whether you’re a fit for them, but I definitely think it makes sense you come with me on Tuesday. They’re having a workshop/career night this Tuesday and I want to bring you as my guest.
I’ll pick you up around, say 6:30. Is that okay? Awesome. Maybe we’ll get something to eat afterward. Make sure you have a shirt and tie on, dress professionally. Great, Take care.
Character Reference Prep Script
Hey (Friend), How are ya? (Small Talk- Keep it short and get to the point, especially if you don’t have a very close relationship. 10sec-2min) I was wondering, what do you have going on Tuesday night? The reason I called is I just interviewed with a financial firm, and they accepted me on a part time basis. I’m really excited about the company and what we do for families and I’m going through a probationary period right now, but I’m hoping to go full time with the company in the next 6 months. I’m working with (Trainer), he’s a friend of mine, I was hoping you could help me out. You’ll help me out, won’t you? I gave (Trainer) your name and number as a reference. He’s probably going to call you in the next couple days. Do me a favor and do whatever you can to take the call. If you miss it, please make it the first call you return. It’s really important to me to impress (Trainer), can I count on you? Thanks, I gotta go. Let’s be sure to get together soon. Talk to ya then.
