Neutralisation Flashcards
Definition of neutralisation
A neutralisation reaction is one where acid is neutralised by another substance (alkali)
When we use these acids name the salt that is formed
1.Hydrochloic acid
2.Sulfuric acid
3.Nitric acid
1.Chloride
2.Sulfate
3.Nitrate
What are bases and alkalis?
Bases are metal oxides and metal hydroxides. Alkalis are just metal hydroxides as they are soluble.
