Drooping of one side of the face indicating neurological damage
Hemiparesis
Weakness of one half of the body
Hemiplegia
Paralysis of one half of the body
LOC
Loss of consciousness
Meningitis
Infection of meninges, outer lining of brain and spinal cord
MAEx4
Moves all extremities
Pt can move arms + legs normally; normal motor function
Normal DTRs
Normal deep tendon reflexes (rated 2/4)
Oriented x3
Oriented to person, place, and time
Paresthesia
Abnormal tactile sensation often described as tingling, numbness, or pinpricking
Postictal
State of somnolence and decreased responsiveness after seizure
Syncope
“Passing out”, loss of consciousness or fainting
