What is morvan syndrome

A

Paraneoplastic limbic encephalitis. Clinical features include cognitive and autonomic dysfunction, severe insomnia and peripheral nerve hyperexcitability. This is linked to antibodies to voltage-gated potassium channel and can be associated with malignant hyperthermia

What is the most likely cause of pediatric opsoclonus-myoclonus syndrome

A

50% of the cases are Paraneoplastic secondary to neuroblastoma the remainder of the patients are felt to have post-infectious etiology . Clinical features include multi directional rapid eye I oscillation movements, spontaneous and at times gaze evoked nystagmus they also might develop myoclonia’s and arms and legs and difficulty walking
