Tengential speech
the speaker wanders and shows a lack of focus, never returning to the initial topic of the conversation. Often associated with right hemisphere dysfunction and wernicke’s aphasia.

moving from one subject to another that is totes unrelated
resource allocation
a m odel of cognitive processing in which mental operations depend on allocation of processing resources from a limited-capacity pool. Performance deteriorates if the demands for processing resources exceed the capacity of the pool.
